| Microdermabrasion: A wonderful alternative to laser or more aggressive treatments because it is non-invasive, non-surgical and requires no down time after treatment. Combined with a chemical peel, results can be compared to treatments received in a medical setting.
Treatment series vary from four to ten sessions depending on the condition being treated and the type of skin. The conditions that commonly are treated:
Chemical Peels: Chemical peels cause a slight irritation that the skin recognizes as an injury, which in turn, stimulates an increase in production of collagen and elastin. This in turn reduces fine lines, refines enlarged pores, lightens and brightens the skin, reduced sebum production, increases cell regeneration and strengthens the integrity of the skin. Dry, sensitive, oily, hyperpigmented, and acne skin can also be treated with a combination of various chemical agents to obtain an individuals desired goal. Our peels are classified as progressive, mid-depth, and deep. Progressive Peels cause exfoliation by removing the stratum corneum. As treatments are repeated the skin experiences mild flaking. For the best results, 3-4 treatments should be performed 1-2 weeks apart. They are a good "lead in" to mid or deep peels. Mid-depth Peels affect the intra-epidermal layer. Exfoliation occurs 2-3 days after application. There is little to no down time, with mild flaking similar to a sunburn. Usually these peels are done monthly for as long as needed to obtain desired results. Deep Peels affect the deepest intra-epidermal layers. The skin undergoes considerable peeling which occurs 3-4 days after the application. The entire process takes 7-10 days and some downtime maybe needed. These peels can be done 6 weeks apart, 3-4 times a year. Depending on your skin condition and desired results, Microdermabrasion and peels can be combined for a more personalized treatment. Oxygen Facial Treatments can be added to any facial treatment, including microdermabrasion and peels. Oxygen therapy aides in the healing process following more aggressive treatments, improves the health, suppleness and appearance of the skin, hydrates, nourishes and stimulates the growth of new skin cells and restores the proper level of oxygen and nutrients in the dermal layer of skin. It improves Rosacea, oily or combination skin, mature, dry skin and active acne. Infrared Light Therapy uses LED's to emit energy to penetrate the skin producing many beneficial skin processes such as collagen production, increased circulation, promotes healing and reduces inflammation. The treatment is also pain free.
